Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 22, 2026

AI CV Maker & Resume Builder ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how resume data, imported files, and AI-generated content are handled when you use our app and related services.

1. Information We Process

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Local Storage, Cloud Sync, and Security

4. AI, OCR, and Document Processing

Resume content is not automatically sent to an AI provider merely because it is stored in the app. When you start an AI feature, the app sends the data needed for that selected operation to Firebase-hosted backend services. Depending on the feature, this may include an allowlisted resume snapshot, imported resume text, a job description, an instruction, recent AI chat context, a selected resume section, or cover-letter inputs. The backend uses Groq to perform supported AI operations. Provider credentials remain on the server and are not included in the mobile app.

Camera, gallery, image, and PDF import can send the selected content to the app's backend and Google Cloud Vision for OCR after you choose that import feature. DOCX content is sent to the app's backend for text extraction. Extracted text is shown in an import preview and is sent for AI analysis only when you choose that additional AI action. Selected files may be copied to a temporary app cache for reading; choosing a file does not by itself make it a permanently stored cloud document.

AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review it before saving, applying, exporting, or relying on it.

5. Advertising and Consent on Android and iOS

The free Android app may show one anchored adaptive banner placement on the Home screen through Google AdMob. It may also offer voluntary rewarded ads before supported document export or sharing, saving an AI-generated resume, unlocking a Premium template for a resume, generating a cover letter, using the AI Resume Assistant, or repeating an ATS scan. Rewarded ads may be supplied by Google AdMob or by Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) through Google AdMob Mediation. Liftoff is not used for the Home banner. Premium users do not receive these in-app banner or rewarded placements while their entitlement is active.

The current iOS App Store release does not include Google Mobile Ads, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP), Liftoff/Vungle, or any other advertising SDK. Rewarded advertising and the Home banner are not used on iOS. The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because the current iOS release is designed not to perform Apple-defined advertising tracking, and it does not directly access IDFA.

On Android, a rewarded action runs only after the Google Mobile Ads SDK confirms that the reward was earned. Cancelling the ad, an unavailable ad, a consent failure, a network failure, or missing production configuration does not complete the selected action.

On Android, Google Mobile Ads and mediated rewarded-ad partners may process IP address or IP-derived general location, device or app identifiers, consent signals, advertising data such as ads shown, product interactions such as taps or video views, and performance or diagnostic data. These signals may be used for advertising, analytics, measurement, fraud prevention, security, and SDK performance. The app does not request precise GPS location for advertising. Resume content, AI prompts or responses, uploaded documents, account email, name, and profile details are not provided to Liftoff for advertising.

For Android users in the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other regions where required or supported, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) is used to request and apply advertising privacy choices. Ads are requested only when the SDK reports that ads may be requested. When additional privacy options are required, Android Settings provides an entry to the provider's privacy-options form. Personalization depends on choices, law, and provider configuration. The first iOS App Store release has no UMP or advertising request path.

In applicable US states, privacy law may provide rights concerning sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain uses of personal information. Available privacy messages or settings may provide relevant choices depending on location and provider configuration. We do not sell personal information directly to advertisers. Advertising-related technical data may be processed by advertising partners as described in this policy and subject to applicable privacy choices.

6. Analytics, Diagnostics, Notifications, and Security

The current iOS release does not initialize Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or Microsoft Clarity.

7. Purchases and Subscriptions

Android purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; iOS purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Available purchases include Monthly or Annual Premium subscriptions and consumable 30-action packs for ATS, Cover Letter, AI Assistant, and Export. Rewarded-ad access is not a purchase.

RevenueCat loads localized store offerings, associates the Firebase UID or a RevenueCat anonymous App User ID with purchase and entitlement state, checks the shared Premium entitlement, maintains consumable Virtual Currency balances, receives entitlement updates, and restores eligible store purchases. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat process the billing and purchase records needed for those functions. The app does not directly receive or store full bank-account or payment-card credentials.

Creating or deleting an app account and managing or cancelling an App Store or Google Play subscription are separate actions.

8. Service Providers and Disclosure

Information may be processed by service providers only as needed for a feature or app operation, including:

We do not sell personal information directly to advertisers or sell resume content or account profiles to data brokers. Advertising-related technical data may be processed by Google AdMob and Liftoff as described separately above and subject to applicable privacy choices.

9. Permissions and Your Choices

The app may request access to your camera, photo library, files, or notifications only when those permissions are needed for a feature you choose to use, such as importing a resume, selecting a profile photo, or receiving reminders.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, review, edit, export, or delete information associated with your account. To make a privacy-related request, contact us at kenesrrd@gmail.com.

10. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

A signed-in user can delete the account in the app through Settings and the account-deletion flow. Instructions are also available at https://myresumeapp-831ab.web.app/account-deletion/. The backend removes account-owned cloud resume documents, the account profile/subcollections, and files under the account's users/{uid}/ storage area before deleting the Firebase Authentication identity last.

Local resumes are preserved as guest copies by default after account deletion. The deletion flow offers a separate option to remove app-managed local resumes and saved cover letters. Exported files outside the app are not removed. For an Apple-linked account, the flow obtains a fresh Apple credential and completes supported Apple authorization revocation before cloud deletion; a revocation failure stops deletion. Deleting an account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription or erase store/RevenueCat billing records; subscriptions must be managed separately in the applicable store.

11. Children and Teen Privacy

The app is designed for resume preparation and job-search activities. This policy does not create a new age threshold or claim child-directed status. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal information may contact us so we can review the request under applicable requirements.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. When required, we will post the updated version in the app or otherwise notify you.
